F = C * 9 / 5 + 32
Temperature in Fahrenheit equals Temperature in Celsius, multiplied by 9, then divided by 5, plus 32. For example, 20 degrees centigrade is 20 * 9 = 180 / 5 = 36 + 32 = 68 degrees F. You can also substitute in 1.8 for the 9/5. F = (C * 1.8) + 32
The parenthesis should be implied but just in case you forgot your order of operations .... ;-) Calculating the other way around is equally as easy. C = (F - 32) * 5 / 9 or ... C = (F - 32) / 1.8
68F - 32 = 36 * 5 = 180 / 9 = 20C .. or ..
68F - 32 = 36 / 1.8 = 20C .. same thing, whichever is easier for you.

Every 5 degrees Celsius equals 9 degrees Fahrenheit. I just remember the key temperatures. Room temperature is 20 C, that's 68 F. Freezing is 0 C and that's 32 F. If I want to figure out anything in between I just add or subtract 5 to the C side and 9 to the F side. 15C is 59F, 10C is 50F, 25C is 77F, so on and so forth. If you need single digits, it's 1.8 deg F for every 1 deg C. 21C is 69.8F, 11C is 51.8F, etc. etc.

This whole conversion does not need be mysterious. Consider the basics:
1. In Celsius (centigrade) there are 100 degrees between freezing and boiling of water, with freezing at 0.

2. In Fahrenheit, there are 180 degrees between freezing and boiling of water, with freezing at 32.

So, to convert C into F, multiply by 180/100 and add 32.
That is:

F = C *180/100 + 32 = C * 9/5 + 32

This works for any temperature.

From Celcius (centigrads) to Fahrenheit: (temp in centigrades x 9, then divide that number by 5 and add 32. That will give you the Fah.... temp.
From Fah.. to Centi... (whatever temp in Fah.. you subtract 32...then you multiply times 5 and that number divided by 9.

For above 0 temps, I just use the C temp, double it but this time add the result to 32. It's not 100% accurate but who needs it to be that precise?
On the other side, I just double the C temperature and subtract the result from 32 to get the F reading for below 0 temps.

what can i say, DO NT BELIEVE WHAT IT SAYS ON THE LABEL. i have had £200 sleeping bags that were total garbage no way did they do what it said on the label, also big brand name means nothing been there got the t shirt even got the british army sleeping bags they are rubbish, so far the best bag is a £20 gelert its doing what it is supposed to do, son took his up into the mountains in afghan it performed great in the end some of his mates borrowed it when he staid in camp & they went up they were queing up to borrow it, you just have to buy & try its the only way

32 F is 0 C, so add 32 to the C to get the F or subtract 32.
