My husband has a new computer and I want to give my old one to my daughter, but I have a Family tree Maker programme on it with all the information that i have gathered over the past 14 years added to it. Is there a way to trnsfer the whole thing to the new computer without losing any data?

See if the application has an Export facility. I very much doubt that you can copy the program from one drive to another and often applications install registry keys within the Windows system and rely on these to work. Therefore a straight copy will not work.

I would recommend that you export the data out - if that's an option.
