I was sick and tired of getting those 'good friend' lottery/inheritance/up yours letters. I am now writing them back at the new email address they provide and sending the obsene mail. I know they probably don't read it but it makes me feel SO much better to get it off my chest.

Anyone else do anything to relieve your rage against these ............................... If so what?

How could anyone be so dumb as to believe them?

No, but I would dearly like to..
A lady here in town was taken in on a scam letter and lost
$10 000 from her bank account. She is single with four kids and her friends and relatives are helping her out financially now.. For God's sake you never get something for nothing in this world and if it is too good to be true it usually is. I just feel sorry for her poor kids..

I suppose some people must believe them or the spammers wouldn't do it.

It is tempting to flame them but all that does is verify that yours is a live mail account and they go to sell it on to dozens of other spammers. You're feeding the flames, so to speak.

But I can see your point!

I dont know how to answer your question since Im not an expert on scam spammers like you are on dogs. You asked a question and I had a right to answer.

I tell them to join my fictional religion and they have to send me $200 and a picture of themselves with their passport and a copy of the days paper, then i will gladly give them my bank details!
Had a few puzzled responses, one sent a picture, but no money from them yet.

Those lottery letters have been crazy, lately. I haven't had them in years, then BOOM!!! I get one or two every day. It's sad... but some people do believe it.

No, but it's amazing how much it pisses them off when I don't reply to their emails after they spend the time and money to send me the fake check/money order....lol.

It's best to ignore it, if you reply, they'll know that someone uses that email account and will hit with you an avalanche of spam.

I just delete 'em.... writing back would tell em its an active address and they'll sell it to web-marketing groups..
