im writing a paper, and ive got a quote from an internet web page, but i dont know how to quote where i got it from. What do i put after i type the quote into my paper?
I know for books you use the page number, but its not the same for web sites.

The answer is really, depends because it does depend on the style you are writing in. Generally, you would cite the source, briefly and the date you downloaded it in your paper. In your bilbliography, you usually give the website information and the date you downloaded it. If your websource includes page numbers, also give the page number. The purpose is to make finding the reference as easy as possible as well as giving credit to the source.

From my understanding, you still need to cite the the paragraph or page number along with the author and year.

Example: "take me home to Kansas" (Smith, 1997, Electronic media).
