An empty box. No kidding. Money was tight one year at my house when I was a kid. My mom knew I wanted a new outift (jeans and a sweat shirt) but she couldn't afford it before Christmas so she wrapped the empty box up instead. In our family you open from little to big and that box was the big. I cried all day because I couldn't understand how come Santa didn't follow through on a gift for me. I was like 6 I think.

One of my bosses regifted and split up a gift pack of Canoe cologne among the staff. It's a guys cologne, I'm not a guy.
And a homemade turbo twistie (hair towel) a relative made for all the women in the family.

i replaced into spending Christmas with my cousins (2 females) and my sister. I had gotten each and each of them a collection of rings (a necklace with matching rings) that I had discovered for a purchase 2 instruments get one unfastened sale at Macy's. each and each of theses instruments possibly fee $seventy 5 a bite, then they gave my sister an exceptionally advantageous set of heels from my older cousin and a gown from the different. while they gave me my present, (they gave it mutually) I had gained this crappy mug, and stale style candy interior. That wasn't even the worst section, as quickly as I have been given abode I placed the mug interior the dishwasher, and the subsequent morning i found out that the mug had melted interior the dishwasher. I made a vow that day, to under no circumstances have my hopes up after somebody gained a cutting-edge till now me.

One year when I was in 8th grade my mom worked at a department store. She fell in love with this blue plaid jacket, skirt and slacks at the store. She talked me into getting it and it was quite expensive. She said it would be my main Christmas gift. I wanted to please her so I said okay. Each piece was wrapped separately. I didn't get much else that year and was quite dissappointed. I make sure my daughter has lots of presents to open even if some of them come from the dollar store.

This didn't happen to me. However my husband once had a girlfriend that gave him a stocking for Christmas. Just the stocking with nothing in it. That would suck to recieve a wraped gift from your girlfriend and open it up to an empty stocking.

I've never received a Christmas gift that I thought was bad.
If someone cares about me enough to buy me a present for Christmas -- whatever the present is -- then to me, that's a blessing.
