My husband is leaving for Iraq in a month so I quit my job so I could spend as much time with him as possible. But now we don't really have much play money, so I want to do something really fun this weekend with just the two of us but not spend any money and just be able to stay around the house. Any suggestions would really help.

Sex is the obvious answer. Dinner is a definate. I was kind of wanting some ideas on unique games, things of that nature....My husband is leaving for Iraq in a month, I quit my job to spend time with him in this last month and then am moving home with my parents for the year that he is gone. We have money, but none to really spare on going to bars, and restaurants, and what not......We are not broke, for those of you who didn't quite understand before i changed my details!!!!
Thanks for any suggestions!

Well obviously creative sex play but my husband and I often are home as well since my daughter was born and we're tight on money. You don't HAVE to stay home though all day. If the weather permits, perhaps you two can go to a park and have a picnic, take a football or frisbee and play together. It's fun getting tackled or doing the tackling. At home ideas: put an old movie in, play a board game and make a pizza or something fun together. Board games are always fun...have you two decorated for the holidays yet? Do it together and play a holiday movie/music in the background. Hide and seek is fun, you can do that inside and outside...if he catches you before you reach the safe spot then you have to do something special for him (and vice versa). Go for a walk together around the neighborhood, that way you get out of the house for a bit, get some exercise and perhaps have playful fun on the walk...I don't where you live so if it's snowing, go play in the snow together...he's not going to see snow in Iraq. Take a bubble bath together...not sexual just relax together and be together in the tub (provided it's big enough of course). Take turns giving each other massages...take pictures together, go through old photos and old memories. Just be happy to be together and make each other laugh. Cherish the time together and may God bless you and your family. Best Wishes and Happy Holidays!

Lets see your Husband is leaving for Iraq in one month, you have very little money and you quit your job. Very Bright!!

Scrabble, sex, prepare a neat meal, checkers, sex, a movie, eat dinner in bed, clean up, a puzzle, sex, take a hot shower together or a Bubble bath. Take a walk and get a coffee or hot chocolate, Work out, go to a park and swing. Go window shopping. Look in the paper for any and all free things you can do. With the holidays you could take a drive and look at Christmas Lights. Look at model homes, they are free.

I could find more but it's time for you to take over. Happy Holidays and God Bless!

My husband and I make dinner and have a picnic on the floor by the fireplace and watch a good movie, we also have wine coolers and play scrabble on playstation and just "hang out". We have fun bubble baths together with candles and drinks (we are light wieghts so after 2 we are done) and go for walks. Sight seeing is also very inexpensive- go be a tourist in your own area- a drive is always good too-

You could make a meal together. That's always fun. Or since it's the holiday season you could spend the afternoon making cookies or decorating a a gingerbread house while listening to Christmas music - there's always a radio station that plays Christmas tunes 24-7, lol! Have fun together.

Cook him a nice dinner and watch a movie. Just spending time together is more important then spending money. Just sit and talk since he is leaving for Iraq. Just be there for each other.

Have a picnic on your living room floor. Have candlelight dinner, take shower/bath together, play games and last but not least, make love. Tell your husband thank you for keeping our country free. Have fun!

you can cook together, bake together, take a bath together, be romantic, kiss, have sex, give him a long massage, play cards, look at pitures, tickle each other, talk about things that you wouldn't normally, be deep with each other, now is a time to not hold anything back. spending alone time together at home is so much better than going out!

Tell your husband thank you from me for serving his country. Thank you for being there for him. You two are the backbone of this country. Take some walks together is weather allows or just spend a day in bed together.
