No you don't have a disease. And your first few periods will be disgusting to you and the discoloration is normal. Here is a website you can go to to answer any questions you will have. And trust me there are going to be lots of questions. Also talking to a trusted female in your life can be a big help. Like your mom, aunt, older sister, etc. If you are still worried have someone take you to a gynecologist or your own regular doctor.

That's perfectly normal, it varies. Often at the start of the period it's a different colour and consistantcy compared to the end of the period. I very much doubt there's anything wrong. Not to freak you out but it isn't just blood, it's the womb lining coming out so it will be thicker and darker than normal blood. And it's been in there for a month or so... Xx~xX

Yes, occasionally it looks that way. Remember to change the tampon or pad regularly, too. I have even had thickening into what appears to be 'clumps' after long rests...or prolonged inactivity. This usually happens during the night. You may wish to schedule an appointment with a gynecologist to discuss your concerns...sounds like ordinary development to me. See the website below for more technical information on the topic of menstration.

sometimes "old" blood takes on a darker brownish appearence. Blood that was already shed, but did not come down yet. Sex soon after a period ends could cause this as the leftover blood is pretty much "pumped" out of you instead of beig re-absorbed by your body. I think you are fine as long as it contains no fowl odor or pain. I would see your Gyni just to reasure this though.

In the beginning, your body is still going through the change so to speak. It is wise to see a doctor when irregullarities occur, but in this stage there will be some.

It's probably just old blood. If it has an odor though, go see your doctor to be sure it's not an infection.
