With political correctness seemingly in the paper ever day, has the spirit of Christmas been destroyed in your community, or has it just pushed the community even harder to make sure it is celebrated the way it should be?

Political correctness is the thin edge of the wedge when it comes to proscription. The thick end is when the Law is used to justify violence against Iraq as pronounced by Mr Goldsmith the Law Bigwig.
The other grades of wedge thickness varying in sulphuric repugnance that emanates from city councils issuing social edicts like little puffed up tsars should be treated with the same contempt by which they were imagined in the first place.

Christmas? Is as eternal as the King who now sits on the throne waiting to judge little tyrants like city councils.

It the people want Christmas they can have it. If people are not happy and feel their council is putting a damper on Christmas, not only as a Christian Religious Festival, but also the Pagan Festivities of happiness and the return of the Sun, then let the people be heard. Write or e-mail your councillors and MPs - kick up a storm. Don't sit there and moan - DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

I detest any of these "political or religious correctness" because it is divisive and counter productive to human relations. Christmas is Christmas - let the world celebrate the joy and spirit of the season. And a Blessed Christmas to YOU 2

The concept of the 'classical' Christmas is false and was created only in the 20th century. Before then it was generally smaller and relegated to families and individual church celebration. In the New England states, before the Revolution, it was actually illegal to do any sort of public celebration regarding Christmas, as it was seen as too pagan of a holiday by the early Protestant settlers here.

what christmas, it should be called going into debt the fastest way possible, you have super sales, so fights break out, stabbings for games, the christmas that meant family is gone, replaced with buy, buy, buy. and then if your really into the holiday spirit, make sure that you dont offend any religious group. I personally think we should cancel this holiday, the true meaning is gone, christmas is a time for sharing, treating your neighbor and friends in a manner that spreads cheer and warmth not greed and hate.

That's what PC is; it is like a demolition experts iron wrecking ball, designed to undermine society and replace it with a totalitarian ruling elite. Spoiling Christmas, is just one small element. We all complain about it, and then meekly comply.

Lets get this clear, no muslims or any other non christians have complained.
This happened during the world cup with the 'they tried to ban the flag' lie.

X sends out an e-mail to 10 people saying 'they are upset by nativity scenes/the english flag'.
Those 10 people get worried and pass it on to 10 more.
The original source gets forgotten.
More people get worried. Nice, well meaning people who don't want to offend anyone.
Before you know it its 'a well known fact' and people are talking about it and its general knowledge so it must be true.

And the Nazi's used the same tactic in WW2.

Wise up, people, no one objects to the nativity scene.

I HELLBENT, Santa's Saucy Liberal Helper, think that the backlash from last Christmas Season has helped stop the unChristmasing of Christmas for a little while. The anti Christmas people will try again and I HELLBENT will be ready for them.
Merry Christmas!

It can go either way, just depends on your commitment to Christmas and it's true meaning. But PC has done irrepairable harm to the US, and if it's not checked, could lead to a thought police type of state.
