You're never too old to learn piano!

I am a piano teacher with 19 years of teaching success. In my opinion anyone can learn to play the piano. Naturally, some will catch on easier than others, but it is those people who have the desire to learn that do the best.
I have taught students ranging in age from 4 years old to 75 years old.
Twenty is a great age to begin lessons! You know what you want, and you are doing this for yourself.
Here are some websites you might try for locating a teacher: http://www.pianotutor.com.au/

I've been working with the course for about a week now, and it's incredible. Just the practice aids and the different scales and memory techniques in Book 9 are worth the price of the course, alone! There are two things that make this course stand out. First, all the video and audio files are embedded in the lesson. I have yet to find another piano course that makes it this easy. It's so nice not to have three files going at the same time!

The second thing is that you actually get to play in each lesson! And the songs are not "Mary had a Little Lamb" types! From the Beatles to Bethoven, it's all there. I have several piano courses that I have ordered over the internet. This is the one I use because it makes learning fun! I'm amazed! Once you get the rhythms down, you really can sound like a pro! Great fun! Thanks for making this available at such a reasonable price. Anyone who doesn't grab this up is going to go the long way home! Joy!

Now ANYONE Can Learn Piano or Keyboard?

I've taught people who are older then you. It is never too late to learn an instrument. Of course it will be challenging and you will have to work (as does anyone who wants to learn an instrument), but if you want to learn, then I think you should try. If money is an issue or you aren't sure about how much you actually will like it you can take a group class at a local community/junior college which is significantly cheeper (as little as $20 a semester) then private lessons (Upwards of $70/hour). (they can also give you access to a practice room so that you don't have to buy a piano right away)

You're never too old to learn new things... It may be easier for young children to learn, but adults have the advantage that they are more apt to take it seriously. Look at colleges, many offer music classes, where you will learn some music theory as well, and learn in a class environment with others your age around for support. Good luck, though!!! ♥

Back in high school, my Latin teacher decided when she was in her 40s to learn piano. You're not too old. It might be harder to find classes, though, but as long as you're finding someone one-on-one and have a piano available to practice on, you should be OK.
