Yes, we do, when we are in trouble and then forget about Him when everything is going our way.
We intuitively know that the hardships and difficulties of life help us grow and strengthen our personality.
The PROCESS of reaching that CERTITUDE is difficult and painful and takes time. So we cry a little in the process.
Once we reach the certitude that those difficulties are in fact OPPORTUNITIES of growth we will not only stop complaining but we will also be grateful for them.
Obviously this is not an easy goal and for that reason it is much more valuable.
So we complain to God because we are still immature but it is the natural process of growth and there is nothing wrong with it. In time we will have learned.

firstly, this is a wide generalize that is quite harsh no less. Anyway, I think that is because the type of people that complain do not think they are the reason for their problem so it is easiest to ask someone they believe has an infinite power, and one that will always put up with their complaining because well... you don't hear to many cases of people saying god told them to shutup or something. Also, the type of people that complain are often the type of people don't want to hear reasons why they shouldn't complain, God won't be telling them not to, hence, people complain to God.

The same reason some people blame their parents for what they do wrong in their lives; they cannot accept the responsibility of their own actions.

If it's a complaint about something that isn't affected by their actions, then in order to relieve some of the stress they need to blame Someone. This world is full of stress and anger. We have to get rid of it somehow or else we'd all be in serious trouble, moreso than what we are now.

Because we all feel the need to identify with a higher being or power. Because we are told that God cares, and because he is God... that makes him safe, right? Not to mention the fact that God hasn't been known to gossip, so we can tell him things in confidence, and not worry about it coming back to bite us later. We perceive him as the Deity that loves us... why wouldn't we complain to him? That's all we humans have been doing since the dawn of time... grumbling and whining about our work, friends, and family. Because, no matter what, or how hard we try... we are never satisfied. That's why we always complain to God, because we are never satisfied with our lives, and instead of changing it ourselves... we rely on the Creator God to change it for us... For instance, if you need\want a new car... you'll ask God for a new car... instead of saving the money you need to buy it... because the last time I checked, cars fell magically from heaven, and landed in your driveway. (heavy sarcasm) Does this make sense? Good.

So my question is, what are you going to do about it? In hearing the truth, we have a responsibility to that truth... Try asking God how HE is doing for once, instead of griping about your own life.

As it seems to turn out,.. I have been finding from learning what people really think and from medical psych stuff,...

PEOPLE ARE SELF CENTERED

... and on top of that this ball has been rolling that if you ask God, he'll do it. For some people they convince their fellow people of their faith to always ask God for it before things.

So people just are constantly nagging " Oh God, I prey I do well on this test.", " God, where is my Pencil?",.. " God,.. please make this boy like me,...",..

And it's not just the expression people blurt out either,.. these people are serious.

Some how they don't consider studying more to increase their odds or that there may be a lost child more in need of God for survival.

Oh well,.. I'm not normal :( Humans Suck.

Very Good question, I think that human beings in genral are very narrow minded and for the most part can only see whats going wrong in their life. When I pray I always make a point of letting god know how thankful I am, I myself know that there are people out in this world who have it a lot tougher than I do!

Because we don't realize that we are the one responsible for all the misery. Mankind has turned this paradise into a place full of greed, war, pollution, oppression and atrocity. In the beginning water flowed, food grew, and everything was free. For some reason we weren't happy with all that. The worst thing about planet earth is people.

Because He's the only one who will listen? Because we think He'll step in and help us. We forget that He gave us freewill for a reason. We are responsible for our own lives. He will however give us a little nudge or helping hand provided we take steps of our own in the right direction. (As they say, God helps those who help themselves.) We can't just throw our arms in the air & expect him to take away our problems though. That would defeat the purpose of life. We are meant to live our own lives, not to be helpless pawns or puppets of a higher power...

Depends on who is complaining and what theyre beliefs are some people who are non-religous complain because they have no one else to complain to and they maybe feel that this will help in someway.
for religious maybe because they believe god is our creater, he is the one who planned our life gave us life. CREATED us. CREATED problems, god has a set out path for everyone. So people question life situations/problems.

remember everything happens for a reason, and it makes you who you are today.

You seam to take delight in the reality that different persons are going to go through for all of eternity, yet you on the different hand would be "lazing around heaven". you have needless to say not study the bible. i presumed Christians are meant to be "Christ like", you recognize act the way Jesus could. i don't think of Jesus could ever gloat over somebody who is going to be condemned to hell in the event that they don't replace there techniques. shame on somebody who's indignant? in simple terms because of the fact somebody would not have self assurance what you think that dose not lead them to a foul person. i think of you may incredibly take a seat and study the bible! in case you probably did and actually believed in what you're analyzing then you definately will which you will have appreciate of others and what they suspect whether you think of what they suspect is incorrect, Jesus did!
