Where can I buy, cheap/inexpensive, long lasting, really well perfumed/scented candles, in Scotland or England?
Do you know of any company that offers free samples of their perfumed/scented candles ?

My friend has just bought big scented candles from instore (our poundstretchers as it was previously known). I think they were £1.50 each and she said she's not even lit them yet as they give such a nice smell round her house anyway! Hope you find some!

If you want decent ones try, L'Occitane or Yankee candles. The smell lingers all around the house. Dont buy cheap from supermarkets they are not the same quality and you wont get long lasting decent ones. Buy cheap buy twice as they say!

marks and spencer are good
tesco doing a great one called winterberry in a great dark red glass container for about 2.60 - very slow burning smell very nice
Loccitane are great if you wish to spend more
for total indulgance go for moulton Brown - these are my favourites
I stay away from vanilla scented as they can often smell very
sickly

Candle light is great but also something about the darkness I like too.

my favourites come from The Pier. there are branches in Edinburgh and Glasgow so there must be one in most cities in England too. they smell great, burn well, and are long lasting.
