The question was asked but it could have been a little kid asking because he/she wanted to surprise their parents by helping out. Don't judge before all facts are known.

Just add water! True, as stated it may have been a younger child.
I remember when I was about 4 years old. Everyone was watching TV. I asked my mom; "How you make sugar cookies"? She rambled off some ingredients and said something about 350. So, in about 45 minutes my mom smelled the cookies a cooking. I was a little in trouble, but, the cookies were actually good, my only problem, I added a few too many eggs, so, they were sweet egg sugar drops. Ha!
So, with that said; Maybe some parents came home to find a Garden Hose watering the Christmas tree, thanks to our help. ;-)

Think again, fool. If you have a cut live tree you must keep it in a base filled with water or the tree dries out and turns brown within a few days, making for a grim Christmas and a potential fire hazard.

I agree that was stupid question. But that is nothing new with Yahoo! Answers. Most of the questions are stupid. Those people who disagreed with the guy who asked the question are fools in my book.

Come on give 'em a break some folks just don't do certain things in life and it's new to them, perhaps they know something that's natural to them that you would be sitting there scratching your head with no clue. Don't turn all scroogie this early in the Christmas season ;-)

I'd like to inform you that there are things you can add to the water to make the tree last longer. Sorry to pee on your evil parade, but the question you are making fun of makes more sense than you, in your limited mental capacity. realize. Instead of making lame attempts to humiliate Christians, go educate yourself.
