I bought the Little Touch Leap pad for my nephew when he was about that age and he didn't play with it very much. He was a "button pusher" and just kept hitting the book. It depends on the level of attention the child has. The Little Touch is really a nice learning toy, but if the child doesn't have the patience, it's a waste of money.

I would suggest getting the Learn Through Music if you don't already have it. It's a fairly tough toy, and makes a lot of cool sounds, plus there are a lot of different programs you can buy for it at different levels. Unlike the Little Touch, it has large plastic cartridges you insert instead of small cartridges and books.

I hope this helps!
