Well, it seems to me that you inadvertantly answered your own question... We always want whatever it is we don't have. We want Wal-Mart closed, but once we don't have it, it's like "We didn't know what we had until it was gone..." In the summer, we make our houses freezing cold with an air conditioner, but then in fall when it starts cooling itself, we crank the heat until we can't walk from one room to another without sweating... Married people wish they were single, single people wish they were married. If your hair is curly, you dream of straight, but straight haired folks stock up on curling irons... We are just whiners and complainers... Nothing is really ever what we want because we don't really KNOW what we want... ♥

People show their opinions with their purchases and if no one really liked walmart and no one went to their stores then they would go out of business. If the "mom & pop" stores really sold a better product at a better price or gave that much better service then people would just go there instead of walmart. The economic truth is that in a free market economy the competition will spur innovation and bring down prices. Lower prices would allow everyone who shops at walmart vs the other stores, to save more disposable income.
The talking head libtards out there who don't actually understand economics don't realize this and deep down support a communist/socialist state. Unfortunately since the media is very liberal you hear more about people who hate walmart than people who like walmart.

Hey dude I know where your coming from, I mean at least you weren't like telling people "hi welcome to walmart, get your **** and get out!" (pardon the language). You just have to like kiss up to all these customers and bosses, and when you get home, THEN you can tape thier photos to the dart board. ; ) but in all seriousness don't beat yourself up over it too much, I mean they do have notoriously low pay and havin been a greeter doesn't exactly wow bosses. And if your still feeling bad don't worry, in this economy, your not alone when it comes to getting let go. Hang in there buddy! ; )

I am in college and I chose Wal mart for a project, and in doing my research, there seems to be a nationwide consensus that
although from the consumer point of view Wal-mart offers
a wide variety of products at low prices, their associates are underpaid and they use factories (overseas) that really treat the
worker like dirt. They put small business out of business. The
Internet is full of wal mart stories.

i like walmart.
if any huge establishment like walmart closes for just one day the the entire economy suffers. stocks lose money, individuals lose money, spendings decrease, etc.
at this time of year the loss is even bigger because this christmas season is the time people shop the most.

If this was national than people would complain a lot and then move the hell on. Life continues until you die, and we all eventually learn to deal with whatever happens, whether we like it or not.

I wouldn't want it to close down as it benefits the consumers.
