I would suggest that you do your report on traveling to and from other countries. You could choose a country you, yourself, would be interested in visiting or broaden the scope of your report by comparing 3 countries. Many issues to consider when traveling outside of your own country, i.e. passport & identification requirements, length of stay, what should you take with you, what can you take with you or bring back, how to educate yourself regarding the safety & common sense guidelines while visiting abroad, the list is endless. Sit down and make a list of what you would like to know first then do your research and find out what you need to know. There's a lot more to traveling than remembering to pack your toothbrush. Here's a good place to start on the internet(http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html). Good luck!

How about dark tourism! That's all about why people visit ghoulish things and places such as Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland, the scene of Dianna's death in Paris and Jack the Ripper walk in East London. This is a serious subject and a growing market in the travel and tourist industry.

I have just thought, if this is a school project you could conduct a survey to answer some specifc questions on this using Yahoo answers.

How about the environmental issues about travel and holidays, and you could look up some of the 'responsible travel' and eco-holidays providers and see what the various arguments are. Some argue we ought to travel abroad because it rbings money into those areas and helps them safeguard against environmental problems. Others argue that the environmental cost from travel (emissions from flights, over-development in popular tourist areas etc - such as Spain struggling with water supply) are too high and we should not travel abroad.

Travel somewhere and do a report on it.
Could be abroad - or just a bus trip. Just record all aspects of it.
