Why is it such a big deal, the guys used racial slurs on him too. Besides if it is such a big deal for someone to use the word, why haven't rappers and black entretainers been banned for using the word so loosely. So if these 2 guys wanna sue Richards because they felt offended, well I felt offended when they called Richards a "Crackerass White Boy". Maybe I can't sue them because they are black and they can use racial slurs without retaliation, give it a rest people, I'll put it this way, if blacks don't want to hear this word, then it is their job to make it dissapear, we'll learn from example and when they stop using it, everyone else will too. I'm so tired of double standards.

Thank you destroypower17, you really hit the nail on the head. Of course you are all entitled to your (if not a bit misguided) opinion. Freedom of speech ensures that. The fact of the matter is, however, that Richards took it to a whole other level when he refers to lynching the African American males. That is in no way appropriate and just shows one glaring example of how little progress race relations have made.
And of course you can sue for being offended by what the two African American gentleman said to and about Richards- that is, afterall the American way. It's really funny to me that you act like African Americans made the word up themselves. why don't you do some history and find out the origins of the word. Here is a start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/******
Please get off of your double standard high horse. White America has no problem with a double standard as long as it benefits them (and 99.9% of the time it does). I am curious, did you have the same "what's the big deal" attitude when Mel Gibson made his famous rant about Jews?

He's Kramer.... He should have controlled his temper and let security take care of the ill mannered people. Imitating the people that offend us is childish and a stupid way to handle things. He should have been the better man and acted like a professional but he didn't. Whether he is predjudice or not is of no importance. You can think whatever you want but when you are insulting to people you are responsible for your own actions no matter what others do. You have to pay to play and he is paying dearly for his idiotic behavior. I am no saint but we all have to deal with the outcome of our actions no matter if we are right or wrong or what we think or say. We are accountable for actions and words.

you know what, i understand where youre coming from; but why start the question off as OMG!!!!......., and then say that.
anyway, everyone is entitled to thier own opinion, and mine is that he was really wrong for saying what he said. he used it in a way that we dont. we never joke about slavery. its not funny to talk about how my ancestors were hung and picking cotton. that hurts.
as a black woman, i was hurt when he said that. and even though the black guy did use racial slurs back, kramer started it. i mean, everybody gets heckled at one time or another. that was truly uncalled for, just as he said.
and you know what, youre right about how black rappers should not use that word as often as they do, but that doesnt mean that kramer should make the situation worse by offended every black person there, and every one who watched it on tv. or online.
you dont do that.

how do you guys find time to get online when there are so many klan meetings for you to attend? ARE YOU KIDDING? do you not understand the conotation that word carries with it? it was a little thing that happened a couple of centuries ago, what was it called? oh yeah, SLAVERY. remember there was this big war that took place. that is their word, and as a white man i am completetly find with the understanding that they can say it when and wherever they want and i can not. it doesn't offend me in the least to be called cracker or honky, because those words don't bring about images of centuries of oppression and hardship.
you guys had better hurry or you might miss the 12 o'clock cross burning.

Hey destro,.. I'm just curious... but if its such a terrible thing,.. why is it common vocabulary among almost all african americans therse days?
I think everyone knows what I'm talking about.
Was what he said right? No... but do people say things when they are mad, and maybe not mean it,.. yes
If its such a big huge mega deal in this case,... maybe sociaty needs to address this issue and shut their damn mouth before demanding everyone else to
