It´s not a matter of choice, you MUST guarantee him/her a safe and healthy birth.

I've seen people with Down's hold jobs and have real lives. They tend to be loving to other people and happy with their lives in my experience. I used to work at a facility for the mentally retarded, and the people with Down's lived full lives; they worked, dated, shopped, and did all manner of things. I don't think someone mongoloid should be aborted, and by the way, the term "mongoloid" is not an accurate one for those so afflicted. The only accurate use for "mongoloid" is for those of that race, as in "caucasoid" or "*******."

"Mongoloid" is a term that hasn't been used for decades.

I'm assuming you're referring to children with Down Syndrome.

Please educate yourself about the syndrome if you are the one making this decision: http://www.ndss.org/

Children with Down Syndrome have a great deal to offer and can be mildly affected or more severely challenged. For the most part, with good medical care and early intervention, they can live long, full, happy and productive lives. They have their own special beauty and yes... I believe they have a purpose and they are born to us for a reason. It shouldn't be our choice to disallow their purpose to be served out of our own selfish desire for a "more perfect" child.

They say some spirits choose to be born disabled. So they can make up
for lives of selfishness, or when they caused others pain.
Disease is the natural condition of this planet. Bacteria and viruses are
just as much a part of the "food chain" as insects and animals. Keeping
the balance in Nature, so one form of life cannot dominate all the
rest.
God doesn't make anyone have to be born disabled.

It's a tough choice - would be tough for me I mean - but I believe it is the parents' right to decide. It is understandable not to want to "ruin" or make your life difficult by having such a child, and making his life difficult too. On the other hand, I am against abortion, but some people aren't so much against it, so if there is a reason for it then this is the one (I mean medical conditions). So it is the parents' choice.

God gave the child life, and it is not our responsibility to take that from the child, any child.
