I just found out I have Endometriosis and I'm kinda scared, Can anyone tell me more about this disease, what treatments? My doctor says surgery is the best option. I'm getting married on Friday and my fiance and I decided to plan to have our last baby(I have 3 he doesn't have kids). Is there anybody with this and had kids without problems?

What kind of surgery is he planning on doing? I would opt for surgery as THE LAST RESORT!! I had endometriosis also, went for years with taking pills, etc. If your having alot of pain, bleeding and what not maybe surgery is for you, but I would look into other methods first. Alot of doctors just go the hysterectomy route too, and wow, that is so final! I would get a second opinion and maybe a third before I let anyone cut on me. I had my last child with endometriosis. It was a rough pregnancy, but I made it through. Research all your options, and get a second opinion before you decide to do any form of surgery. Unless it is so out of hand and cnat be controlled or fixed any other way, dont go the hysterectomy way, it sucks!

I agree. You need to try other options before surgery. Your doctor should have provided you with some answers. THe previous person who posted gave you a link that you need to look at before deciding on surgery. IF you are in serious pain surgery may be the option.
