Usually it takes a good 2 weeks of training and consistent nature of the work to be either comfortable or knowledgable enough to feel comfortable about where you work. Now it doesn't have to be exactly 2 weeks, but on average, 60-80 hours of work should get you either 'ready' or 'not able to continue' stage.

I wouldn't worry.
it takes a lot of people time to settle.
can't say re ur job as we don't know but the more u worry, the less likely ur to do a good job.
so chill.
and see if u can get some clue from papers or past cases or find another who seems friendly to give a little assistance.
might be a way to make a few new friends too!
u should have been given proper instructions/a new job description so u do know what the hell ur doing !!!

good luck.

I don't think it's after 3 days that's for sure. You would expect after 1-2 weeks that you should have a good grasp of what you need to do but up to a month before you are doing it with any confidence. Make sure the people that are supposed to be explaining it to you are doing a good job and taking their time. Good luck!

Depends on the job honey, no one can really help unless they know what the job description is and how much you were expected to know when you got promoted, some jobs take days, some weeks and so on. But a good boss would not have promoted you unless s/he thought you were capable of handling it. Good luck

One to two months depending on the type of work. You were hired for a reason so don't be scared to ask questions. Write down everything so you have a reference in case similar issues come up again.

At least a couple of months so don't worry if it's just your third day! I'm sure you are doing great. As long as you are trying no-one will think you are thick, just act enthusiastic even if you're unsure what you're meant to be doing.

If you have an entry level job, I'm sure the employer will take into consideration that it will take time for you to learn the ropes.
