What is the point? Some couples date longer than 2 years before they decide to get married. Why would they then want a contract for for such a short length of time?

All that would do is make a mockery of marriage.

On a lighter note, imagine the following scenario. How many people would be on Yahoo answers asking the following question....

We got married two years ago, & our contact is coming up for renewal. I'm worried that he/she is going to leave me. What should I do?

Enough said.

In Madagascar there exists a fixed term marriage contract known as Kolety. You pay a certain amount upfront and you have your bride for a fixed term. Agents of virtue say that this type of contract causes social problems. Who knows?

OK, I'm thinking you're not getting enough rest. So I very strongly recommend you turn off your computer and go back to bed now.
