I like the way she sings, but sometimes she yells too much (no heaphones when listening to her, please). I don't like her wanna be Marilyn Monroe makeover, Christina is even doing the same poses. She is even trying to imitate Gwen Stefani's looks. If she is so beautiful and has rockin' body, why can't she be original?. do you agree with that? maybe she tried to be original with her "i am dirrty" look but she looked like a s.l.u.t.

I think she regrets her trashy days and tried to clean her act up. I think trying to emulate Maryln Monroe shows she has aspirations and a role model. Her voice is amazing and there aren't many (if any) that has such a powerful range like she does.

First of all, with a response to above answers, Christina does not regret her "Dirrty" days, and she has said so in many magazines. I really don't think she is trying to be like Marilyn (or Gwen Stefani for that matter, since Gwen created her look from inspired by Harajuku fashions in Japan.) Christina is going for the pinup look of the '40s and '50s. She is not the only one doing this. Dita Von Teese is completely dedicated to the look, among others. The only way anyone is famous in this business is if they reinvent themselves....period. Madonna would have gotten nowhere if she kept the same hair color and religion. As far as originality goes, there is no such thing. Every fashion design we have now has come from some other era. Prime example, Gaps skinny jeans from Audrey Hepburn films. So lay off Christina. She has more talent than any Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, or Ashlee Simpson.

I love Christina! She's always been original. She does indeed in ways look like Marilyn Monroe. Every Artists copies off on someone else... O.k. The only time I can honestly say she looked like a slut is when she gave Eminem that award and she had hardly nothing on! She's always been herself and never cared what anyone says. Her Genie in the Bottle album she was 15 and still a lady! Stripped she developed and had a nice body...why not show it? She's 18! She was comfortable in her own skin! Back to Basics...which by the way is a awsome album ...she reflects with back int he day music...people she looked up too...Plus, she' s married! To me I think she's grown up alot and in the music business and has accomplished her dream and use what GOD gave her and touched people all around the world with her songs!

Christina may have looks similar to marilyn and gwen, but it's her own style. She pretty much has always gone with the looks she chooses not because they are in style or because she's imitating them. She does it cause its what she wants to do and she doesn't let other peoples opinions or comments get to her.

I, for one, don't think Gwen Stefani's look is "original." She looks like she stepped out of a magazine from 1940. Not original, whatsoever.
And who really freakin cares what these people LOOK like? They can sing and entertain, and that's all that matters.

She's young...when you're young, you try out different things, ecspecially how you look. Also, considering she has a wonderful voice, how she look really shouldn't be too relevant. Not to mention, she's not the first Marilyn wannabe. She's really not someone I listen to, but I give her props for doing what she wants and not caring what anyone thinks.

Her and Justin Timberlake are both the same. He copies off jacko's voice, and she copies off Mariah's voice (from the early 90's).
The sounds are ok, but their visual image has been done too death. They both try different things but it never anything new.
