Very nice on those frigged mornings, you just have to remember to leave your heat on full blast after parking your car for the night.

I love mine. If you get one, I reccomend the Audiovox Prestige system, which has a remote with a screen theat shows the status of your car. It has an alarm that will go off when there is an attempteed entry or if the car is bumped, and when the alarm goes off your remote beeps so you know if you are in a store that someone is screwing with your car.

Also if the alarm is armed and someone manages to get into the car, they can't start it even if they have a key.

Another cool feature is that there is a function button which can be hooked up to anything you'd like, such as the heater if you have the knowhow to wire it correctly.

Like the above said though, they are very hard to install. I would reccomend a professional install unless he knows what he's doing. I had one hell of a time getting all of the features on mine to work properly because I didn't know how to wire anything.

I have a remote car started for my Explorer and it is a life saver, especially if you live in cold weather. Here in upstate NY, it gets cold, as I'm sure it does in Wisconsin, and there is nothing like waking up, pushing a button, and 15 minutes later getting into a nice warm vehicle. I think it's definately worth it. The only thing is: get it professionally installed. I tried to do it myself and there are alot of wires, and it got very confusing.

Keyless automatic starters.. ARE worth their weight in gold during the winter months! You have to have a automatic transmission though. Regulations are in place, since a kid got killed way back when they first came out. So, being that you live in Wisconsin, I'd invest in it. Its nice to go out to a toasty warm car either from work, or movies, event etc. I lived in Alaska, and my parents had one installed back in the mid 90's, and they were about $500 then installed. Pay the extra money and get it installed.
