how do you get pass novell desktop management?

at school they have this program that doesnt let you have a desktop just a folder and you can only open those programs in that folder. is there anyway i can get rid of it and change it back to the normal desktop and by the way there are heavy restrictions

Usually something like that is done on the main server that's connected to all the others. The teacher probably has access to all of that. Your access has probably been cut off at the knees. You would have to find a way to get on that main server and switch the settings. Good luck........
