i am a tutor .. private tutor for INternational system school for primary 2, which means no homework at home, no note book and the only thing i know on what he did in school is thru his communication note book between his teacher and parent.
i have no idea at all what he do at school despite he has time table. he hardly bring his note book or work book or homework so i feel very hard to teach him .
he got 4 kinds of subjects, math, english, chinese and our national language, every subject he got 2 books. course book and work book. according to his school system, work book never leave his class room, finished or not finished he will do tt at school and bring NOTHING home, completely nothing. so during the semester test i dont know what to teach him. when on the test he doesnt understand the questions

the only books he has on school bag are course books but during the test, the questions need further understanding to solve them and for the boy they are quite difficult. he keep saying his form teacher only returns his work book once a week on fridays.i have checked his work books but later on the test the questions are being twisted.

his mother is my office BOSS (gee, i hardly breathe now hehehe) and she doesnt care at all. the boy is obedient but i still need to discipline him, it is hard for me because i cant spank the boy because of his mother. spank him i will lost job in office. tutor is only side job

You discuss all these concerns with the parents, if you haven't already, and tell them that his lack of participation and responsibilities of bringing home the necessary books is jeopardizing the success of you tutoring him. If he continues to be allowed to not bring home the necessary tools for you to tutor him with, I would tell the parents that I was resigning and would not be able to tutor their child anymore. If the boy is not going to participate, why waste your time with him anymore?
