My wife is a citizen of Kazakhstan. She has lived in the USA for 5 years. Has a Green Card & Work Permit. Has a Master Degree In Biology. World Educational Services has certified her degree to meet US Standards. Was Vice Dean in her last position at a University in Kazakhstan. She can’t seem to get her first position in the USA. Any constructive suggestions?

She may be trying for a lateral position. I don't know that this is a realistic goal. She may want to look for an entry level position and work her way up the ladder here in the U.S. I know it isn't fair, but it's realistic.

There are MANY jobs like this in the SF Bay Area. She should be applying at the research labs. Genotech is hiring like crazy and they pay great perks.

SOME PARTS OF THE STATES YOUR LUCKY TO HAVE A JOB AT MCDONALD'S WITH THOSE CREDENTIALS. TIMES ARE HARD RIGHT NOW THANKS TO THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. JUST KEEP PLUGGING AWAY AT IT. IT'S GOTTA GIVE SOONER OR NEW PRESIDENCY.
