Ah this is never an easy situation. Especially if the husband and wife are still together. I think from the boyfriend's point of view, running would be a good option.

If the husband knows that the other guy is his wife's boyfriend, he would bash him up much earlier and not wait for a chance meeting. That would be the real husbandly thing to do. If he is the cuckold type, maybe he would say "hello" and shake hands.

It depend how intimate his wife is with the guy. A simple friendship it can be gentlemen meeting but if it is something more which husband knows then avoid him.
