I know I will. I'm a catholic and my husband is jewish so this year we're merging the two celebrations. It will fun..though my family back in the Philippines would disagree, I think that it will be good for us to do this way. So who else is going to be celebrating Chrismukka this year?

Hannukkah starts on the 16th so you'll have to prepare for 20 days of Chrismukka! Usually Hannukkah only lasts for 8 days, but during Chrismukkah the celebration is extended until the 25th. You don't really have to do anything except celebrate during the whole 20 days. That's what we're going to be doing. My husband is not an observant Jew, so we'll light the menorah during 20 days, we'll eat gelt as much as we want, we'll give each other presents. His mother will share some of the traditional jewish dishes with us and I'll make the traditional philippino dishes as well.

I would love to incorporate some Jewish traditions into my Christmas. If you have any suggestions, please share.
There was a group in my hometown, called JEWS FOR JESUS, and they celebrated both, but I can't locate the information anymore.

I always do although neither I nor my wife is Jewish. For your edification, it may well have been on the first day of Hanaka (I know the spelling's wrong) that Jesus stated "I am the Light of the World." If he celebrated the feast, why don't all Christians? Enjoy the drydel. Remember, Jesus played the game when he was a child, too.

i think merging the two holidays takes away from both of them. especially because we dont believe jesus was messiah, so jews celebrating christmas is kind of wrong. why can't you celebrate them at separately (not separate from your husband, as separate holidays) it's nice that the two of you are supportive of each other though. but i especially hate when people think hannukah is a big holiday, its actually itsy bitsy and not very holy. and i hate that's its sucked into christmas, just because it's kind of near the same time.
but anyway, i do hope you enjoy your holidays.

Sounds like a plan, None of us are Jewish but if it means more days of party and gift giving, I am for it. MERRY CHRISMUKKA.

That sounds really neat, but a bit expensive...
