ive just done mine too.i got mine from a laminate specialist.its only about a tenner.

It is call a thresh hold strip and there are plenty at lowes or home depot. However you need to be careful of applying it to tight as laminate flooring needs to expand and contract with the room moisture and temperature

Depending on the height difference you either need a threshold (slopes down on both sides) or a reducer, (high on one side, slopes down on other to lower height floor). Hope that helps

It's called (imaginatively) edging strip. Go to Homebase and you'll see it comes in all sorts of lengths widths and colours.

hi im a fitter, i use a stirp called Z-Edge as it looks like a Z from the end lol but in diy shops look for carpet to laminate/tiles bar. if you go to a carpet shop you can get them 8ft long but i havent seen them 8ft long in diy shops but you may get one from one somewere i dont really know as i dont get my bars from diy shops i get mine from my suppler. good luck.
