I recently bought Ralph Lauren towels in navy blue that when I use them to dry myself leave blue lint on my hands! I've washed them but no good...any advice in what I can wash them with? Thanks.

It's going to take a couple of washings to get the loose lint out. I don't know how many times you've washed them, but, most of the time, after you've washed something three or four times, that takes care of excessive lint. Use a good detergent, (Tide or Gain), fabric softener and dryer sheets. Some would say hang them outside, but, in December, that's usually not feasible.

Same problem happened to me with the Ralph Lauren red towels. Wash them by themselves in HOT water (helps get the extra dye out of them) and tumble dry them on high...No it won't shrink them, but it will help get rid of the excess lint. Don't wash them with other towels but just the RL navy towels. This helped me and after 2 or 3 times washing (in cold after the inital hot water), and drying, no more lint.

Hang them to dry outside on the line, then shake the heck out of them, when dry put them in the dryer on fluff
