Yeah they are a very good match.
Virgo and Cancer
When Cancer and Virgo make a love match, a strong, down-to-earth relationship with staying power is the happy result. This is a relationship with great potential to get better and better over the passing years. Both Cancer and Virgo are goal-oriented and disciplined. They are sincere and devoted to one another and share a strong sense of purpose. No lightweight love here: These two were not really built for flings! Cancer and Virgo deeply admire one another: Virgo respects Cancer's quiet strength and dedication while Cancer appreciates Virgo's keen adaptability and intelligence.
These lovers may get off to a slow start, but over time, bonds will only grow stronger. The Cancer-Virgo love match prides itself on common sense and strong principles over fluff and inconsequential or fleeting connections. They enjoy the material comforts of life, but they will only feel good about their bounty if it has come as a result of honest hard work. There could be tiffs if Virgo becomes too critical for Cancer's easily bruised feelings; Cancer needs to understand that it's just Virgo's nature to point out what they observe, that it's not a personal attack. A Virgo may bristle at their Cancer mate's stubborn streak, but it's a trait that a patient and understanding love partner like Virgo could come to appreciate. Also, Virgo's urge to serve suits Cancer's affectionate, nurturing nature well.
The Moon (Emotion) rules Cancer, and Mercury (Communication) rules Virgo. Though they're very different planets, they're both near the Sun and therefore always in one another's neighborhoods. The Moon is a mothering influence; it's about cultivation and fostering growth, which are both central concerns for Cancer. Mercury is all about communication, and it's an androgynous energy -- Virgo will adapt and take on the form that it chooses, the guise that best serves a situation. Virgo takes an intellectual approach to life (especially compared to the emotional Cancer), but still manages to be perceptive and intuitive enough to figure others out if they choose. Good thing for the Crab, then, that a Virgo mate can get a feel for devotion and domestic fulfillment if that's what their Cancer lover desires. These two won't argue about fulfilling one another's needs. They'll work at it and relish the rewards of their conscientiousness.
Cancer is a Water Sign, and Virgo is an Earth Sign. Earth Signs, true to their name, are down-to-earth, but they can also be materialistic and preoccupied with acquisition. The Cancer-Virgo love partners like to surround themselves with comfortable, well-crafted things. Water Signs rely on feeling and intuition, making Cancer the emotive force behind this relationship, in a subtle Cancer way, of course. Along with their desire for prosperity, their love of a fancy home life ensures that this couple will work hard toward this shared goal. Also, they're practical pair, and losing control is never really an issue.
Cancer is a Cardinal Sign, and Virgo is a Mutable Sign. While Cancer gets things going, Virgo thrives on a changing routine of responsibilities and challenges. Because they're so ubiquitous, Virgo will find a place in Cancer's plans if they really want to. Virgo will keep in mind Cancer's plans, and will eventually bring results even if Cancer has moved on.
What's the best aspect of Cancer-Virgo relationship? Their dedication to working toward the same goals. Both partners in this love match enjoy a stable home life and nice things, and Virgo truly enjoys helping Cancer along the way to achieving their goals. Their shared goals and desires make theirs a highly compatible love match.
CANCER AND VIRGO
Those governed by Virgo are ruled by intellect and logic, which goes far in making such an individual a formidable force to deal with. The emotions of Cancer prevent him or her from being the gregarious type and, at times, Virgo can find this frustrating. However, the nurturing and domestic qualities of the Cancer native will certainly help make Virgo feel loved and secure...and in return for that, much can be forgiven. Cancer family ties are exceedingly strong and relatives may visit more often than the Virgo partner prefers...yet another state of affairs that can serve to irritate Virgo. Cancer will be shrewd in handling this pair's finances...although he or she may not be emotionally equipped to handle the criticism that will surely be coming his or her way should there be a mistake. Living with critical Virgo will be no easy task for the emotionally high-strung Cancer, who is certain to take all criticisms to heart and sulk for days. One of the dangers is this union may well be too much caring. Cancer and Virgo are Signs that love to nurture, prone to fuss around those they love. This could make life intolerable for both of them. Together, these two will do a lot of talking about things that need to be done, but each needs to be paired with a more positive personality for anything other than talk to actually be achieved. Neither Sign is greatly moved by the urge for physically romantic interludes and because of this, sexual encounters may not play a large role in the relationship. Here, petty quarrels and criticisims may easily spoil whatever harmony this couple can create together.
The Cancer/Virgo combination will be a strong, down-to-earth relationship with the potential for staying power and could get better with the passage of time. Both partners are disciplined and goal-oriented. In addition, these are sincere souls who share a solid sense of purpose and a proclivity for devotion. There is also mutual admiration. Virgo respects the quiet strength and dedication of Cancer, while Cancer appreciates the keen adaptability and intelligence of the Virgo nature. This relationship is likely to get off to a slow start but the longer it endures, the stronger the bonds. This is a match that prides itself on common sense and firm principles rather than fluff and inconsequential or fleeting connections. There is a shared enjoyment for the material comforts of life, but this couple will only feel good about their bounty if it has come as a result of honest hard work. There are liable to be tiffs if Virgo becomes too critical for the Cancer partner's easily bruised feelings, but Cancer needs to understand that it is simply part of the Virgo character to point out what is observed...it is not a personal attack. Virgo will probably bristle at the Cancer mate's stubborn streak, but it is a trait that a patient and understanding individual (which Virgo undoubtedly is) could come to appreciate. In addition, Virgo's desire to serve will suit the affectionate and nurturing nature of Cancer.
Cancer is ruled by the Moon and Virgo is ruled by the planet Mercury. The Moon has a mothering influence, related to cultivation and fostering growth...central concerns for Cancer. Mercury is all about communication and is an androgynous energy. Thus, Virgo will adapt and take on the form it chooses...the guise that best serves a situation. The Virgo approach to life is intellectual...particularly when compared to the emotional Cancer...but still manages to be perceptive and sufficiently intuitive to figure out those around them, should Virgo choose to do so. Thus, fortunately for Cancer, the Virgo partner will be able to get a feel for devotion and domestic fulfillment if such is what his or her Cancer mate desires. Here, there will be little arguing related to the satisfaction of one another's needs. This couple will work at it and relish the rewards of their conscientiousness. Cancer is governed by the element of Water while Virgo is governed by the element of Earth. Individuals ruled by Earth are down-to-earth, but can also be materialistic and preoccupied with acquisition. Indeed, natives of both these Signs love to surround themselves with comfortable and well-crafted things. Those ruled by Water rely upon feeling and intuition, thus making Cancer the emotive force behind any relationship with Virgo...but in a subtle way. Coupled with the desire for prosperty, this couple appreciate a fancy home life and will work hard toward such a shared goal. In addition, this is a practical pair and the loss of control is never truly an issue. Cancer is Cardinal in quality and Virgo is Mutable. While Cancer gets things going, Virgo thrives on a changing routine of responsibilities and challenges. Because this couple is so ubiquitous, the Virgo partner will find a place in Cancer's plans if he or she really desires to do so. In return, Virgo will keep Cancer's plans in mind and eventually bring results...even if Cancer has moved on. Perhaps the best aspect of a Cancer/Virgo match is a mutual dedication to working toward the same goals. Here, both partners desire a stable home life and nice things. In addition, Virgo will truly enjoy helping Cancer along the way to achieving goals. It is these shared goals and desire that can make this combination a highly compatible pairing.
In essence, this combination is often regarded as somewhat odd. One of the dangers is that the demands of Virgo may be a little too much for Cancer, who yearns for peace and quiet. On the other hand, the affectionate Cancer may not necessarily be completed satisfied by the Virgo direct approach to practical matters. Cancer is inherently sentimental, reticent and even shy, which Virgo can find frustrating. Still, if the Virgo partner can be a shade more demonstrative and affectionate, this is a relationship that can easily work very well.
CANCER & VIRGO
Refined, elegant Virgo is a superb communicator and fabulous conversationalist. Virgos make great writers; they are so precise about language. You may find yourself falling in love fairly soon, for Virgo is an earth sign and Cancer is water -- a fertile combo if there ever was one!
Astrologic textbooks like to make Virgos out to be dusty and dull because they have a shy or reserved quality. "Fine, underestimate me," Virgos say quietly to themselves. They like to take you by surprise with a torrent of passion on a dark, starry night. Make no mistake, Virgo can be a very skilled and ardent lover, especially when matched with an emotionally rich Cancer.
On a day-to-day, mundane level you also groove well. Virgos are practical, organized, and have the same security needs you do. They aren't nearly as moody as you are, thus provide strong grounding that withstands your ups and downs. You both are world-class worriers, so neither one will be able to calm the other down. Hopefully, you won't worry about the same thing at the same time! When upset, your upper stomach hurts, but Virgos' weak spot is the lower stomach. Neither of you can eat heavy foods and usually prefer light home cooking with plenty of vegetables.
Virgos are patient, even-tempered, and polite to a fault. They never squander money and they are exceptionally hard workers who always get ahead. Virgo is also ethical and can be counted on to do the right thing. That includes being faithful to you -- Virgos don't fool around.
With their sweet attentiveness, tender care, and lively wit, they will be a joy to be around! On this pairing I say yes, yes, yes!
Best Wishes and Good Luck :-)

I had an amazing Virgo relationship but ended up marrying a libra. We were just too young for anything more at the time. I think for Virgo a Taurus/Capricorn relationship is like wearing 'cosy slippers', it just feels really easy. Although like all relationships they have their problems. Virgo is good with many of the other star signs too. I've seen some really good virgo to Scorpio, Aquarius, Cancer relationships. Not so much the Virgo/Gemini relationships but they can happen.

When Cancer and Virgo come together, it creates a strong and down-to-earth relationship that will only grow stronger with time. Both Signs are goal-oriented and disciplined. Cancer and Virgo are sincere and devoted to each other, and both have a strong sense of purpose. They admire each other: Virgo respects Cancer's quiet strength and dedication while Cancer appreciates Virgo's ability to adapt to a given situation.
This is a relationship that may take time to develop, but it will get stronger. The Cancer-Virgo duo is based on common sense and strong principles. These partners can be materialistic, as they both enjoy the little comforts in life and in the home, but they are willing to work hard to succeed. Difficulties can arise if Virgo is too critical for Cancer's easily-bruised feelings; Cancer needs to understand that this is Virgo's nature and not a personal attack. Virgo might dislike Cancer's stubborn streak, but can learn to be patient and understanding of the Crab's nature. Additionally, Virgo enjoys indulging Cancer -- the Virgo commitment to service combines well with Cancer's love of nurturing, thus pleasing both partners.
Cancer is ruled by the Moon and Virgo is ruled by Mercury. Both of these Planets are close to the Sun, so they're always in the same neighborhood even though they are very different. The Moon is matriarchal; it's about cultivation and nurturing, both of which are important to Cancer. Mercury is communication, and it's androgynous -- Virgo will take on the form that it chooses. Virgo has a more intellectual approach, but is adept at figuring out other people. Because of this, Virgo can quickly understand and become the devoted and the domestic partner that Cancer loves, and they won't argue about fulfilling each other's needs.
Cancer is a Water Sign and Virgo is an Earth Sign. Earth Signs are about possessions, and the Cancer-Virgo partners usually surround themselves with comfortable, well-crafted things. The Water Sign relies on emotion and intuition, making Cancer the fueling force behind the relationship in a quiet way. Along with their desire to be prosperous, their love of a fancy home life ensures that this couple will work hard toward this shared goal. Additionally, they are a practical pair, and they rarely have problems caused by one partner's lack of control.
Cancer is a Cardinal Sign and Virgo is a Mutable Sign. While Cancer tends to implement new ideas, Virgo likes to move from project to project as the feeling takes them. Because of their ubiquitous nature, it's easy for Virgo to find a place in Cancer's plans. Virgo can remember Cancer's plans, and eventually will make them produce something even if Cancer has moved on.
The best aspect of the Cancer-Virgo relationship is their dedication to working towards the same goals. Both partners enjoy a stable home life and nice things, and Virgo likes helping Cancer achieve their goals. Their mutual interests make theirs a highly compatible relationship.

Virgo/ Cancer
In astrology, the water sign Cancer and the earth sign Virgo are considered a very nurturing combination. Cool waters enrich the earth and give birth to fresh life. Thus, if you find areas of disagreement with your lover, you are likely to find a way back together; the aspect between your two Suns is called a "sextile" or opportunity aspect. Communication will always be especially good.
Both of you are worriers because you are dependable, reliable people. But you will have a soothing effect on your Cancer lover. Cancers are far more emotional than you are -- something you may not see until later. Cancers can be unpredictably moody. Watching a Cancer's face is to see the changing landscape of the soul -- at once cloudy, then sunny -- it can actually be a beautiful thing. Cancers often don't react to things that happen to them right away, preferring to chew on their feelings for a while. The moodiness you see is them running through all the possible reactions they could have to whatever they're focused on. Often there is no indication their internal weather is about to change. This can be a bit unnerving, but just take their moods with a shrug and a smile, and rest assured all will be right again soon. In the meantime, you may need to go off by yourself to avoid adopting your lover's internal turmoil. Cancer may not understand your need to withdraw, but the Virgo yearning for meditation will become too strong to for you to resist. Virgos need to figure things out and analyze problems, whatever they may be. If your lover is smart, he or she will give you the space you need. The elasticity of the bond between you will ultimately keep your union strong. Soon you will be back together, stronger than before.
You both like to work, but for different reasons. Cancers are sure every rainy day is tomorrow. They like to stock up on things, whether it be food, money in the bank, or anything else they think they will need to guard home and family from disaster. This instinct to save is what makes Cancers quite wealthy sometimes. Virgos like to work for the sake of working, and take pride in their accomplishments. You, Virgo, are programmed to harvest the fruits of the earth at the end of summer, the time of your birth.
In bed, you move together in your own beautiful unique dance, listening to the whispering sound of water running over earth. Earth responds and conforms to water, accommodating it as the two melt into one another. Cancers realize you are reserved and delicate and respect your yearning for gentle, refined tenderness. Neither of you feels sex should be a casual or offhand affair, but rather a commitment and blending of souls in a sacred way. You find depth and beauty in your relationship.
Hold on to your Crab. Cancers can get possessive early on in relationships, which could go against your grain, but before you leave in a huff, ask for more time. You have a natural flow with one another, and an ability to heal and forgive each other when problems surface. Your stars will work to help you succeed.
