The Working TIme Regulations 1998 (UK Law) states that employees are entitled to 4 weeks paid holiday. So if you are full time and work 5 days a week that is 20 days. If you are part time and work 2 days a week that is 8 days....and so on.

It will depend on your individual terms and conditions of employment as to whether or not this includes bank holidays. Most employers have those days as extra - but check what your employer does..

Useful websites: www.dti.gov.uk and www.acas.org.uk

Legally, you should work of a maximum of 50 weeks a year. So you should really have a minimum of 2 weeks of holiday a year. Wales' employment lawas should be governed by UK's central government.

CAB can help, you're covered by the european directive on working time.

I think you need at least 2 weeks off a year plus statutory holidays
