More than 60% of the Philippine people make their living by farming. The farmland belongs to wealthy landowners who hire laborers that live and work on their estates. Large number of people also have jobs fishing, lumbering and mining; This is their way of life there as a people.

Wealthy city families live in large houses surrounded by stone walls. The poorer urban people live in shacks and government housing projects.

The Filipinos have large families and maintain a close relationship with all family members, including older relatives and distant cousins. They all live together. As a community, they are very close, tightly knit, however very poor they are. There isn't a lot of medium salaried people, as in the U.S., and this is truly a disadvantage of their culture. They seem to be wealthy or poor as in a lot of third world countries.

The advantage of their culture is they focus on family. Family is everything to them which has become a problem in the U.S. where a lot of families are fragmented.

considered one of my Filipino pals informed me that on condition that his pals prefer to gamble, they take a seat at an outdoors bar and watch people who're walking and texting on an identical time. They place bets on even though if or not they'll the two, stumble, come upon somebody or holiday and fall whilst texting and walking. i assumed that looks like an income for the gamblers and a downside for the texter/walkers.
