The writer's name was Bram Stoker and no, he didn't write a gay Dracula story. Dracula is often connected to homosexuality because the vampire drinks the blood of female AND male victims, which many see as erotic. Writers like Anne Rice have picked up on that homoerotic theme and used it in her novels.

There are many vampire stories, some classic, that are out and out gay vampires. But not classic Dracula and no stories by Stoker.

Haha, no, but if anyone ever did, I think "Brown Stoker" would make a nice mock of BRAM Stoker's name for such a novel.

Have you ever read the original? Dracula? You may find some interesting parts in that book, even if it isn't about gays. Much of the "sexual" suspense in the novel comes from what *doesn't* happen instead of what does.... so you could probably take some of the male/male or female/female suspense as something kind of sexual (as you can with the male/female situations in the book). Um, that probably makes no sense.

There IS a so-called lesbian vampire novel--Carmilla by J. Sheridan LeFanu, which predates Dracula. There's nothing really homosexual beyond slight touching and almost kissing.
