i am an A cup on top and my waist is about 23-24.
and i have small hips. i have broad shoulders and my calfs and thighs are super skinny. i avoid wearing dress and skirts because my legs look like twigs! i like to hide em under jeans. so, what sort of design of dress will fit me? long? short? knee length? boob tube? and A line dress that ends at the knee? and should i wear leggings to hide my skinny legs? if so what colour?? and what colour dress would be nice on me to make me look fatter? i am slightly tanned, asian skine tone.

Skinny waist....skinny legs...OH WHAT A PROBLEM! LOL
(Wish I had that problem!) ;-)

Here are some suggestions that I hope will help with whatever areas you feel are your most troublesome...

To break the lineage of your height:
** go with a 2-piece or "mock" 2-piece gown, this creates a "break" at the waist which helps to not make you look like one "long" article of clothing.

For broad shoulders:
** don't get anything with "sleeves" of any kind. I would advise thicker/wider tank style straps, it helps to cover some skin and will make the shoulders appear "smaller".

For a small bust-line:
** look for a moderate neck line, sweetheart cut. A slight v-shape will provide the appearance of a "shapely" bust-line. If you can, look for the type that has additional fabric (such as the sheer type) that is bunched/swagged at the bust line. An added layer/thickness of fabric at the bust line will provide an appearance of "fullness" Make sure to accentuate the neckline with a v-shape or "drop" style necklace similar to the neckline of the dress top.

For a skinny waist:
** The only way I can think of to camoflauge a thinner waist is to go with a bodice that either has horizontal lineage to it, not stripes mind you, but maybe some bunching of the fabric, or a sash/tie of some kind...or maybe even something that has a print of some kind that is done in the same color as the dress. (Ex black on black, burgandy on burgandy...)

To break the lineage of your leg-length:
** go with a T-length skirting. This will allow you to cover a great portion of your legs length to a little below the knee, providing a break in the line between the waist of the skirt and your feet. Make sure that it is an A-frame skirt to give fullness and width to that "break" in the line. A straight skirt will only elongate you. As will leggings of the same color. Wear natural tone hosiery.

To help with your concern of skinny ankles:
**Find some cute, not-to-high heels that have the ankle strap/wrap..the ones that have the little organza wrap-around bow are really cute and help add some "bulk" to skinny ankles.

Hair tip:
**If you're comfortable doing so, wear you hair "down"--maybe with some soft curls for fullness. "Up-do's" tend to make one look even taller/thinner.

In the end, you'll just have to go through some trial and error while trying on different dresses. Chances are you're not going to find "ALLLLL" of these suggestions in one dress, but it should help you as a guide to finding something that you'll be comfortable in...which is the main thing. When you find a dress that you "feel" pretty in, then you'll be beautiful!

Good luck and HAVE FUN!!!

Play up your features. You have a body most women would die for. Since you have long legs, emphasise them with a shorter hemline (not too short though, then you will just look trashy.) My sister has this problem and she usually wears halter dresses with details along the bust line as well as a mid thigh length dress. Look at some pictures of models and find styles you like. And also, go try on dresses. You will never know what looks good till you try them on

For the dress length, look for a mid-calf (tea length) to hide skinny legs, and add curve to your calves. An asymmetrical hemline will also work great for you. It won't add any height, draw attention to your legs, or emphasis the slenderness of them. A short dress will only show off your legs, and a long dress may make you look taller and thinner.
For the style of the skirt, look for a trumpet (also called mermaid) to add some curves to your hips. A looser, flowing skirt will also look great. While an A-line is universally flattering, it can also slim out a figure, which isn't what you are looking for.
For the bodice, look for ruching, patterns, wide sashes, or small pleats to add the illusion of curves.
For the neckline, since you have broader shoulders and a smaller bust, look for detailing at the bust, like appliques or V-necks to keep your shoulders from overpowering your figure. A halter neck would be a great choice, not a strapless which can emphasis your shoulders and minimize your bust.
Don't wear leggings with a formal dress. It looks too casual, and usually tacky for a formal event, like a prom. Plus, leggings won't hide skinny legs under a shorter skirt, it will only show them off.
For colors to flatter your own coloring, try clear, stark colors (like white, black, navy, red) or icy colors instead of pastels. Avoid subdued colors and earthy shades.

Yeah i think of so. At homecoming there replaced into yet another woman with the comparable dress as me. i did no longer understand her and purely observed her like as quickly as, yet i did no longer quite care it quite is purely a dress. If a pair hundred all and sundry is going to the comparable dance and there is 3 community shops, probability is somebody could have the comparable dress as you. Iv'e considered this ensue to different ladies too, it quite isn't any biggy.
