First off it depends on what you mean by killing, if you believe going out and shooting someone is wrong, it is by legal and societies standards, but humans are only animals and as in nature animals tend to kill one another for many reasons (protection, dominance, defense, etc.). Humans were given the gift of emotion and a conscience though and your morals should stop you from doing any killing anyone with out great cause, think about it would you like to see or hear of a family member you were close to dying?? you would also have to think about is killing this person worth spending your life in prison? If they have wronged you that badly, you still wouldn't want to mess your whole life up just to see a person die, trust me its not that great to watch people die.

If you were to talk about killing someone emotionally or spiritually however, it would be wrong if you did not know what you were doing or using only for personal advantage, you could corrupt someones entire life and change the whole world around you, and it may turn out for the worst for everyone.

It is not always wrong to kill, it is always wrong to murder. Why is that you ask. Well, one can kill in self defense, for food, for any number of reasons. Murder however is necessarily killing with malicious intent for no good reason. Why is that wrong? Its wrong, or morally impermissible, because it feels wrong to basically everyone. I can, in all honesty say that if it doesn't feel wrong on a basic level there is something wrong with the murderer. So, I don;t know if that helps, but its my opinion anyway.

Are you mad?

Well my friend believes that God gave you life so He is the only one who should be able to take it away.

However, my own beliefs differ slightly from this. It depends on the circumstances. You can't just go out and kill someone for the sake of it or because you don't like them or something. That's wrong. Would your family and friends think it was right if someone did that to you?!

But if your defending yourself against an attacker or something like that and they end up getting killed then that's their fault. They should check out who they are up against properly first! Or better still, just not attack people at all!

I also believe in the death penalty but only in extreme cases and where the person is guilty beyond any doubt at all!

It is wrong to kill. But man does it on a daily basis with animals and with it's own kind too.
There will be a time when we will stop killing animals for food.
There will also be a time when mankind will live in peace and will consider the whole planet his country and all the people like " the leaves of one branch, the fruits of one tree" and will end all these unnecessary wars.
Justification for not killing comes from our moral education and the moral values taught to us, not from science.

It is wrong to kill for bad reasons.

Yes it's wrong to kill because you don't have the right to take someone else's life. It's wrong to hurt another person in any way. Taking their life would be the worst way you could hurt them! It also upsets the balance of nature. Everyone has a time to go. You should not take them before their time. We're not supposed to play God.

The only exception to the rule: in self-defense. If someone is a threat to your (or someone you love's) life, then you are within your rights to protect yourself.

i cannot say that its wrong to kill but rather that the circumstances around that action justify the end result.

If you are stuck on a deserted island and you spot a deer, you kill the deer to feed yourself. it seems justifiable?

if you on a hunting trip and you see a deer, you kill the deer for sport . unjustifieble right?

if another living human being approaches you and your family in a violent way and attempts to shoot you point blank, you dodged him and then drew you own weapon and shot him-hes now dead. it seems justifiable?

you approach a man and his family, draw your gun and shoot him, he dies. unjustifiable right?

Taking another individuals life, be it human or animal- is not a matter to be taken lightly. I beleive that every action has a consequence, therefore think of the consequence before the action.
