1. Ask -- quietly, if possible -- to be partnered with someone else. But try the following first.

2. Assure herself that she isn't getting too deeply involved in the other partners work and work methods. It's the end results that count.

3. Co-develop a project plan for each project. Such a plan would assign specific tasks to each partner and would set deadlines for each of the tasks.

4. If, after all this, the partner's lack of organizational skills still seems to fall short, have a gentle but candid conversation with the partner. It should begin with, I'm worried that the way we work together is harming my future prospects at this company -- or something to that effect. Putting the partner on defense is to be avoided. It would only create a barrier to you daughter's goal.

Sometimes it is counter-productive to keep making up for a disorganized person. As long as your daughter keeps saving the day, the other person has no motivation for changing.

She perhaps should just let him crash and burn a couple of times - when people start asking what happened, he'll figure out he needs to change his ways.

Sounds harsh - but sometimes, nothing succeeds like failure.

It's her life, so let her make her own decisions. Regardless of how you feel, she has the right to succeed or fail on her own without parental interference.

P.S. Its called spell check.
