What are the chances of becoming pregnant if you have sex on ovulation day? We've been ttc for a year and 2 months now and i've never had a period til this last month and this month i actually caught myself ovulating with a saliva scope....i just wanted to know if the chances were like higher then 50 percent....? thanks for your answers!

Your chances range from 20-37%, depending on your ages, the quality of your cervical mucus, and other factors, including frequency of intercourse.

I'm not sure how you can catch yourself ovulating, though, unless you mean an ovulation predictor kit. While those are accurate, they only indicate whether ovulation has occurred in the past 2 days or will occur in the next 2 days. So, you might not have actually had intercourse on ovulation day.

As for your not having a period, if the cause of your absent period was weight, I can tell you from personal experience, that you will not function normally or be able to sustain a pregnancy until you put on enough weight and body fat to sustain a regular cycle.

Hi, from what I understand, if you are ovulating, you have about a 20-25% chance of getting pregnant each month. Hang in there; everything will work out...

well now, I wouldn't say 100%, but the chances are very good on ovulation day, assuming your partner's sperm work well.
