The beeps, that is more important clue that you should listen to, switching off the power and back on again is actually the same as reset button, need not care about it.

My immediate suspect is video card unseated or some problem at that part of computer, try jiggle the card or reseat it properly..

Sounds like you may have a hardware problem.

Open up the case and make sure it is dust-free inside. Check all components and wires to ensure that nothing has come loose. When powering the system up, check for "beeps" - these beeps are codes that can tell you what to check.

you have a hardware problem, one of you hardware not working properly,

when you switch on your computer,

if you cant see anything but computer have power, it means CPU,main board ,rems , screen card or monitor, one of them have problem...

if you can see boot menu...
information's about CPU speed, ram, in black white screen ...
it means rem, CPU and screen card working..

the best way to understandd which part makes problem, you need a working computer, then begin to exchange their part one by one and restart and observe... when computer fail ... after you change any of your computer's part, so you can understan what is the problem

This happened to me.. My ATi X500.. Well.. This is what happened to me>> I turned on my comp.. The screen is blank + a long beep from my computer.. Went to service, they changed the video card and voila.. It works.. But before following my advice, try to go to your friend's house and try putting your video card on his comp.. If the same thing happens, then your video card has a problem (thank god mine still has its warranty)
