Should a man who impregnates a woman have the same legal right to decide what happens to the fetus the woman is carrying?

Why or why not?

I am curious why I have never seen this question asked.

I have had three children. Nine months is ONLY nine months. It is not a lifetime. To me that is a very weak excuse, Sorry....

I think so, if he is willing to take the child and raise it.(if she is wanting an abortion) It does take 2, therefore both parties should have a say so. I see nothing wrong with the man being able to take the child that his sperm helped to make and raising that child. For a woman to just make the decision on her own without consulting the father is wrong.

No, since when should another person decide what a woman does to her body. That would be the equivalent in demanding and forcing a man to be sterilized. While both opinions should be considered just to keep an open dialog, the end decision belongs with a woman.

No! You don't have to carry the baby for nine months. You don't have to have your baby go through all the changes. The government doesn't step in and tell anyone that they should or should not use religion to make this choice. Who are you too.

No, not the same as the mother as he is not the one to carry the child for 9 months.
