What is the difference between a smartphone and a pocket PC?

I was just wanting to know the difference.

I have a Pocket PC, a Axim x51v to be exact, and i assure you they are not the same although they are similar.

They usually run on the same OS (windows mobile 5) but my pocket pc is more like a mini personal computer, i can install programs anbd such whereas the smartphone is a fancy phone that is designed to run the pocket pc software to use the advantages of WM5 like outlook, web browsing etc.... I hope that helps
