Well, I use any type of baby oil that I apply right after I shower and before I dry off. Just pour some in your hands and rub it in while you are still wet. It seals in the moisture and keeps you from having that dry skin itch that comes with the drier winter air.

the best type of moisterizer is one that is not water based, that would rule out about 90% of all over the counter lotions and beauty products.

Good moisterizers are creams, non water based. However, you may find them to be very thick. A good type of moisterizer, especially for hands or dry and cracked areas is corn huskers lotion.
