For the most part, yes. Although some of the questions and answers are idiotic, offensive or show a sense of immaturity, many of the answers are indeed helpful. I also beleive this site gives many people an opportunity to get opinions on questions they may want to ask but would not ask someone face to face the same thing in a million years.

It depends on the category, of course. I have gotten quite a few helpful answers to more serious questions or questions that I really wanted advice on like hair, recipes and grandparenting.

Depends on what category, the topic, etc. But you get Immediate answers. And most of the time, if the question is serious, then you do get good answers to your question.
