No... Sure it would be neat to know that a child will be born with certain genes so he/she will be smart or whatever, but it's wrong. We play God as it is with all of our advances in medicine what with making people live longer than ever and don't forget all the plastic surgery we can do to alter outselves into the "perfect" beings. But going into the bodies and altering our genetic makeup... Think about it, you're born a certain way because whatever you believe in created you that way. What's the point of a mother and father if they can just pick and choose the genes they want for their child? What's the point of a real human being if we just alter it to perfection.
No one's perfect and no ones perfect for a reason... because there is no perfect. We've already begun to alter ourselves from the outsides, what's going to happen if we start altering the insides? What are we going to do next?
Maybe science should focus on more pressing issues.

We should. And if we could, the plastic surgeons will be out of job and unemployment rate will escalate, but there will be more smart & beautiful people around and all of us will be happy. And, there will be no such things as gays and people will be sexually deprived no more. And all of us will be rich. And there will be no poverty. And world economy will be a blast. And the world will be imbalance eventually. And GOD will send some meteors down to do some spring cleaning. And then we will DIE!!!

Sure, we already add deadly toxins, plastic and even transfer skin from our butts to face.....so this is the next evolution.
