give it a try:
choose a text and start reading it while listening to music.Try to understand both what you read and the music.practice this regularly and your speed for anilysing things fast will increase.as a result you'll be more concious, you'll think fast, will be able to decide faster in complicated situations.thus you'll be more confident.

Note: you'd better choose a text that you hadn't seen before, but music doesn't make a difference.
