No, it doesn't devalue the partners. I firmly believe that one should sample the merchandise before purchasing it.

I can't speak for my partners because I am not them, but I can say honestly it did not devalue them to me, not in any way. In fact, for one of them it made him more precious to me as I knew it was against his religion and therefore meant more that he would break it. (I did not push him, don't get upset, it was his choice!)
Now that I think about it, it was really akin to him placing me as highly in his life as he did his religion. What a responsiblity! He was a good guy :-D

A girl told me once that she wished she'd saved herself for me. I really didn't care, but she felt that she was devalued. It eventually caused our break up.

Not for me. If I am about to take that leap of "till death do us part" thing I want to know what is in store. Sexuality is far to important an issue to be left the teachings of some religious "must be virgin" crap.

it depends on the kind of conscience you have(dead or alive). yes and to some extent responsible for lack of trust in the relationship, if you were able to hold it till you got married then that confidence about your partner would always be there - think about it!!

I never thought it did. As for your partner thinking that. . . no one will ever really know. But if both are willing to participate in premarital sex then it shouldn't.

It shouldn't. I believe that sex between to consenting mature people is a beautiful thing and it shouldn't matter whether you are maried or not.

in my personal opinion if one or both are planning to wait, then wait, cuase it shows dedication, devotion, and much true love for your partner,if none of you are planning to wait, then wait till the time comes when both are comfortable, then it wont.
