Of course we do! I am 59 and I listen to a lot of that "stuff". Granted, Rap is not my favorite but most Hip-Hop is fine and Pop is great. I own a really big eclectic collection of CD's that includes a lot of new stuff. I bought six CD's in the last few weeks alone. Right now, though, I am really into Robert Randolph and the Family Band which is, I guess, considered Funk. Plus I LOVE Snow Patrol!

I'm a 50+yr old grandad and listen to all sorts of music. Anything from Dre to Stoned Sour. My kids and stepkids range in age from 20 to 27 so i suppose that has something to do with it. Only music I don't listen to is real old fogey stuff and most pop cos its so shallow. Music must have some talent.

I'm old but I listen to just about everything except CRAP, obviously, the "C" is silent. Hey, that ain't music, it's noise although several people like Weird Al have done rap parodies and that's quite amusing. But head banging heavy metal, rock'n'roll is popular with people 50 down, they grew up with it and people over 60 love 50's and 60's rock, they grew up with that. And of course there's R&B, most ages and C&W, all ages. Funnily enough, I have over 5000 songs on my PC and at least 40% of them are songs made in the last 6 years (my grandkids love them too), actually, my youngest grandkids fave is Dum Da Dum by Melodie MC (I like it too) and my eldest granddaughter who's 13 is a Greenday fanatic and again, I like them. in my opinion song would not have a coloration or racial bias. i'm perceived as "white" whether i'm probably greater racially blended than maximum. i in my opinion love an excellent style of musical genres that have been seen traditionally "black"; stuff like blues, jazz, swing, motown, r&b, soul, reggae, gospel (or maybe rap and hip-hop whether i'm an "previous" guy of fifty and so no person expects me to...) I do think of rap is greater of a "fad" than an excellent style of the completely stepped forward genres of song from the final one hundred years, so it ought to take time to mature. on a similar time because it ought to have it relatively is roots in black lifestyle rap is infrequently unique in that regard. Black people have mastered all varieties of song that is performed. fairly what surprises me is that any one fairly thinks there is something that shall we call "white"/cracker song. What could that still be? Lawrence Welk and his polkas? i do no longer comprehend what to tell you baby - maximum persons are stupid - and each twelve months they seem to get dumber. All i comprehend for confident is which you pay attention to notwithstanding you like and if somebody else would not like it? properly it relatively is why I even have my earphones...
