Yes.
It's happened to me.
I can trace it all back to a guy I knew in high school that I ran into one day on the street. He completely changed the direction of my life, and it would have been MUCH different (maybe more boring, more normal, more successful? Who knows?) without that one chance meeting!

I believe the person can. I also believe that it is not always a good change. We humans are easily to be lead by others. I am a firm believer that people tend to act like people they associate with.

Yes. It can be for the better, or worse. My husband ruined my life, but I did learn some valuable lessons from it. Then I had a friend come into my life, and he had a significant impact on my life for the better.
