Well there is World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, those two cost money, about 15 dollars a month .. but there is also Guildwars, which is free to play online once you buy the game

Heres a good online RPG game. Its a multiplayer game too.
Its called Zeus' Legacy.
Free,fun,worthwhile,and non-download.

I've been playing runescape for about a year now. There is a free area and pay area, it's only $5 a month to play and they update and put new stuff in all the time.
