Though Rough Enough

It's in short because English Sucks. It is a mix of so many languages... they try to make rules and teach rules but those are broken so often.

I complained about it all through school,.. not like they would teach me anything.

Good question! I have too many to offer, so make your own sentences. Just kidding, no offense intended. Which leads to the first pair: Okay, I'll make a sentence with this one. The Detroit Lions' offense is an offense to my intelligence. Row (disturbance) and Row (propel a boat) Read (a book) and Read (past tense of read) Live (exist) and Live (in person) Wound (as a spring) and Wound ( to hurt) Wind (to twirl) and Wind (air movement) Lead (show the way) and Lead (an element) Lame (hobbled) and Lame (artwork) Expose (to bare) and Expose (tell-all story) Console (place to put things) and Console (give sympathy) Recreation (activity) and Recreation (to remake) Excuse (alibi) and Excuse (give permission) Bow and Bow (both can mean to bend) Root (what grows in the ground) and Root (to cheer) Inter (prefix) and Inter (to bury) Buffet (to hit) and Buffet (style of dining) Rebel (an insurgent) and Rebel (to challange) Sewer (tailor) and Sewer (storm drain) Polish (people from Poland) and Polish (to shine) Sow (female pig) and Sow (to plant seed) Whew, man you made me think hard about this one. But that's ok, I welcomed the brain stimulus.
