Buy a can of aerosol varnish/laquer, presto, all shiney for good and the dust doesn't stick so much

2 parts linseed oil, 1 part turpentine, 1 part parafin (shaved). Mix all together and rub into your baskets. Allow to dry. You can apply as many coats as you care to. It will produce a softly glowing finish. This is an excellent mix to put on (raw wood) furniture. The finish is water repellant.

pick up some linseed oil and use that or some liquid gold.it will clean and shine them. merry christmas.
